Devika is the sister of Mohan Singh who owns the Dry Goods and General Store in Kiskadee Village. As Anjanie’s Phoowah, she played a prominent role in the wedding. Among other things, she led the mattikore procession, parched the paddy for lawah and accompanied Anjanie under the maaro during the wedding ceremony.
